Our Vans

We offer three types of Campervans for our guests.  High Roof options are custom-built on new VW Crafter and MAN Tge base under 6m in length, equipped with a backup camera and parking sensors, making them a dream to park and maneuver through whatever terrain suits your fancy. This year we also added new 2023 Mini Automatic campervans to our fleet! All our camper vans come fully stocked with everything you might need for your adventure and feature a fully equipped kitchen (stove, sink & fridge)  and a thermostat heater.

This is not your regular car rental company, it’s passion converted into a lovely business! We rented a VW Caddy for three weeks and it didn’t take long to feel like home in it, even with its small size. The Fjord Campers team designs and builds these campers. Toma was an absolute joy to work with from beginning to end. My wife and I had the best 10 days in one of their vans. The vans are spectacular and come with exactly everything you need. We cooked, hiked, slept, swam in the fjords, and had the best times - rain or shine. They’re very easy to drive and navigate. Make sure to take note of all of their recommendations as well - Toma made sure to look at our itinerary and suggested ways to make it better, and it definitely did. We couldn’t recommend fjord campers more!

What a fantastic trip! The campervan eas clean and well-equipped: we had everything we needed! The bed is very comfortable, and the heater kept us toasty warm! The PERFECT first solo campervan trip thanks to the convenience, ease & cosiness of Fjord Campers (high-roof automatic). Top 5 things I loved: 1. Van is easy & comfortable to drive. Sometimes I forgot I was driving a 6m long van as it's quite easy to manoeuvre. 2. Rain? Too cold? No problem... It's so cosy inside you almost wish for bad weather for an excuse to cuddle up! 3. As solo female traveller, I felt extremely safe sleeping in the van thanks to the privacy of curtains and locking system. 4. The interior setup is thoughtfully done (fridge, cookware, sink, etc.) leaving all your focus to go towards the beautiful sights. 5. Very easy pickup & drop off process - just 20 minutes from Bergen city center, 10 minutes from the airport and nearby a gas station, car wash and supermarket. THANK YOU!

Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to book?

This question has a simple answer! The earlier you reserve, the more likely it is that you will be able to select the campervan of your choice and have the freedom to select the precise dates you desire.

In Norway, the peak travel period runs from the end of May to the end of September. If your travel dates fall within this time frame, we advise that you secure your van at least three to five months in advance. We typically sell out on 70% of the available dates before the end of April.

It’s also crucial to remember that the earlier you book, the better the pricing! For “Early bird” deals, be sure to check out our Deals & Discounts page!

How can I change my booking?

Where do I pickup my campervan?

It’s important for us to inform you that our rental location operates on an appointment-only basis. To ensure the best service, we kindly request that you adhere to your scheduled pick-up time. Should your plans change, we are more than happy to accommodate adjustments to your pick-up time after your booking is confirmed. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us for any rescheduling needs.

Our pickup location is conveniently situated near Bergen airport, offering easy access to essential amenities such as grocery stores and gas stations, making your trip preparation as smooth as possible.

ARRIVING FROM BERGEN AIRPORT

Traveling from the airport to our location is a breeze. A quick one-stop, one-minute light rail journey from the airport to “Kokstadflaten bybanenstopp” is all it takes. From there, a short 400-meter walk will lead you directly to our pick-up spot. For your convenience, here’s a link to our exact location on Google Maps. Please note that our location is a simple parking and there is no formal office.

ARRIVING FROM BERGEN CENTER/TRAIN STATION

If you’re coming from Bergen Center or the train station, the light rail offers a direct and convenient route. Take the light rail towards the airport, and disembark at “Kokstadflaten bybanenstopp.” About 37-minute journey. From there, it’s just a 400-meter walk to our pick-up location. Here’s the Google Maps link for precise directions. As with our airport route, please be aware that our location is a straightforward parking lot, and there is no office. Just us meeting you.

What kind of drivers license do I need?

To drive all of our camper vans you only need a normal drivers license (B category).
