Helgelandskysten scenic route map in Norway

Norwegian Scenic Route Helgelandskysten (Road 17) runs from Holm to Godøystraumen with detours to Torghatten (Roads 76, 778 and 7234). This is a total distance of 433 km. There are several connections with Euroroute 6 so it is easy to switch between driving parts of the tourist route and Euroroute 6. On this stretch of road you must take several ferries. The ferries ply the section from Vennesund – Holm, Horn – Anddalsvåg, Tjøtta – Forvik, Levang – Nesna, Jektvik – Kilboghamn and Forøy – Ågskardet. Express boats or car ferries link a number of the larger islands with the mainland and this gives you the option of making splendid detours. Cycling is prohibited in the Svartis Tunnel.
